about
Bmic's acclaimed concert series The Cutting Edge returns
this autumn with an exciting line-up of internationally renowned
performers and new music.
We begin with The Finnissy Weekend, a land-mark celebration
in the 60th birthday year of one of the UK's most original
and influential voices. This year's Cutting Edge is
rich in anniversaries, with Lutyens, Babbitt, Feldman, Cardew
and Hellawell also celebrated, whilst the New London Chamber
Choir mark their 25th anniversary in the series finale.
Watch out for a special three week ‘keyboard mini-fest’
from the 26th of October, featuring three keyboard duos playing
on everything from standard pianofortes to spinet and toy
pianos. And an intriguing subplot featuring experimental music,
from New York to Germany and the UK then back to New York!
With more than fifty premieres scheduled for the series,
you are bound to experience something new and unexpected.
So, come and be aurally stimulated at the Bmic's Cutting
Edge every week this autumn!
