Soundings is a platform for contemporary music, founded by the Austrian Cultural Forum in 2004, to promote creative exchange between young composers and musicians from Austria and the UK. In this weekend appendix to the Cutting Edge series, the Bmic and ACF join forces to present a programme which will include pieces by Tansy Davies, Joe Cutler and Johannes Maria Staud. Also, students from the RNCM and Konservatorium Wien will perform works by Kurt Schwertsik who celebrates his 70th birthday this year.
