Cutting Edge Workshops 2005

Bmic continues to develop links with higher education establishments through the Cutting Edge Workshops. The following Cutting Edge ensembles are giving composition and demonstration workshops for composers at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Participating institutions: Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Oxford Brookes University, The Royal Academy of Music, Kingston University, Surrey University.

TRIO FIBONACCI
(concert - 03 November)
Workshop of pieces for piano trio, led by composer James Clarke.

ENSEMBLE EXPOSÉ
(concert - 27 October)
Workshop of pieces for 7-piece ensemble, led by composer Roger Redgate.

Workshop of prose-based scores and sound-making instructions to be interpreted by the group in collaboration with the composers, led by composer Paul Whitty.

OKEANOS
(concert - 17 November)
Workshop of pieces for viola, clarinet, koto, shō, oboe, led by composer Paul Archbold.
